Rishini Weeraratne is the Editor of The Sun (Daily Mirror), Editor of HI!! Online, and Head of Social Media at Wijeya Newspapers Ltd., where she leads digital strategy and content across major platforms including Daily Mirror Online, Lankadeepa Online, Tamil Mirror Online, and Daily FT Online. With extensive experience in journalism, digital storytelling, and corporate communications, she is known for effectively bridging traditional media with innovative social media engagement.
In addition to her editorial leadership, Rishini serves as the Sri Lanka Ambassador for the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR), where she advocates for professional standards, supports local practitioners, and promotes continuous professional development and accreditation. She is also an Ambassador for the HALO Trust in Sri Lanka, contributing to humanitarian landmine clearance efforts and raising awareness around mine action.
