Annu served as a Member of Parliament in the 15th Lok Sabha, representing Unnao, India’s largest constituency. She was a member of key parliamentary committees on privileges, financial estimates, rural development, and women’s empowerment. She has represented India at international forums, including the UN and the Inter-Parliamentary Union in Geneva.
As the founder and chairperson of the Hriday Narain Dhawan Charitable Trust, she has worked for over 20 years to support education and uplift marginalised communities in Unnao. With a career spanning IT, media, and garment exports, she brings a wealth of experience to her philanthropic efforts. Committed to sustainable change, she believes in empowering rural communities by fostering awareness and self-reliance, rather than providing short-term aid. Her work reflects a deep-rooted dedication to social progress in Uttar Pradesh.
