Aanchal Jain is a dynamic and visionary leader serving as the CEO of PMI Electro Mobility Solutions Pvt. Ltd., a renowned technology company specializing in advanced electric bus manufacturing. Under her leadership, PMI Electro has expanded its operations to over 31 cities across India with a fleet of about 2,000 e-buses, projected to grow to over 5,000 in the next 24 months.
As a staunch believer in sustainability, Aanchal is guiding the company toward environmentally friendly practices, spearheading initiatives to reduce its carbon footprint and championing responsible manufacturing aligned with India’s ‘Net Zero’ mission.

A graduate from Lady Shriram College, Delhi, Aanchal later pursued her master’s in Economics from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). Following her passion for Economics, she moved to the U.S. to obtain her Ph.D. in Economics from Northwestern University, equipping her with a rare combination of policy expertise, macroeconomic insights, and business acumen.
Before assuming her role at PMI Electro, she contributed as an economist in various prestigious global organizations. She has also served as a visiting scholar at Harvard University and a visiting faculty member at the University of California, Berkeley. With significant experience in international brands and leading consulting firms, her strategic thinking and leadership have been instrumental in driving PMI Electro’s success.
She has consistently been recognized for her contributions to the industry. She gained top spot in Business World’s 40 Under 40 power list. Under her leadership, PMI Electro was honored with the Electric Mobility Excellence Award for Fleet Manufacturing at the 4th Green Urja & Energy Efficiency Summit, and the Most Admired Electric Bus of the Year award, demonstrating her commitment to innovation and shaping the future of electric mobility in India.
