Join us for an exclusive, closed-door conversation with one of India’s most respected journalists and media commentators, Rajdeep Sardesai. This intimate session offers a rare opportunity to engage directly with a veteran who has played a pivotal role in shaping the landscape of Indian broadcast journalism for over three decades.

He will be having a conversation with Bridge India about his career, how the media landscape is changing, and his peerless knowledge of Indian elections around the country. Attendees will also have the opportunity to get a signed copy of Rajdeep’s new book 2024: The Election That Surprised India.

About Rajdeep Sardesai

A leading figure in Indian media, Rajdeep is currently the Consulting Editor at the India Today Group. His fearless reporting, incisive political commentary, and decades of experience have made him a trusted voice on Indian current affairs.

In 2005, he co-founded CNN-IBN, contributing to a new wave in Indian television news through fresh programming and impactful election coverage. He later served as Editor-in-Chief of the IBN18 Network and President of its Editorial Board, establishing himself as one of the most recognisable figures in Indian media. His career began at NDTV, where he initially covered sports before becoming Political Editor, playing a significant role in the evolution of political journalism during the network’s formative years.

Over the course of his career, he has interviewed Prime Ministers, Chief Ministers, international leaders, and public figures across various domains. His election coverage has been particularly influential, with his “Election Nights” becoming essential viewing for political enthusiasts across India.

As an accomplished author, his books include 2014: The Election That Changed India, Democracy’s XI: The Great Indian Cricket Story, and 2019: How Modi Won India. These works offer unique perspectives on the intersection of politics, sport, and society in contemporary India.

He has received numerous accolades for his journalism, including the Padma Shri and recognition for his coverage of major national events. He continuous to speak at leading national and international forums, sharing valuable insights into the country’s evolving democratic landscape and the media’s role in shaping public discourse.
