About Madhus of Mayfair
We will be hosting this at Madhus of Mayfair, serving award-winning authentic Punjabi cuisine with a Kenyan twist. Indulge in some of Madhu’s secret recipes handed down over four generations, whilst enjoying the atmosphere of their opulent ballroom.
The restaurant is situated in the prestigious five-star The Dilly hotel, right next to Piccadilly Circus. British architect Richard Norman Shaw, designed the hotel in a Neo-Baroque style, based on English Palladian architecture of the 18th century, and opening in 1904.
About your hosts and speakers
The event is co-hosted by Shivali Bhammer, a British singer-songwriter and public speaker. Shivali was signed to Sony Music in India in 2010 and released The Bhajan Project. The Bhajan Project was nominated for two Global Indian Music Awards, Best Debut Single and Best Fusion Album. It also reached the top ten in the iTunes World Chart, Her second album, Urban Temple, was released with Eros Music in 2012 and reached #1 on the iTunes World Chart.
Shivali is known for the creation of RnB urban contemporary bhajans, and has a new spoken word album coming out soon. Her is the playwright for Borders in a Bedroom] which she performed at the Tamasha Festival in New York in 2016, wining Outstanding Playwright and Outstanding Production of a Play.
One of our speakers will be Suri Shandilya, Managing Director in Private Banking & Wealth at HSBC. Suri is an executive sponsor in D&I and oversees six Employee Resource Groups.
